When Griffin first came to me, I was advised by another dog owner that I should not put his name on his collar tag as it could be used by a potential thief to lure him away. That person also said that it would be an even greater deterrent to a potential theft to indicate on Griffin's tag that he is in need of routine medications. Who wants to steal a sick dog, right?
Recognizing Griffin's tremendous beauty and inherently friendly nature, this all seemed very logical to me so I had his first tag imprinted to reflect both of these suggestions. When I picked Griffin up from the breeder, my sister Karen and her daughter Maggie came along. I placed his brand new collar and tag on him before heading home. Karen took one look at it and laughed, saying "There's the name of your autobiography!"
When I looked at the round metal tag I had watched (but not read) being etched at the local PETCO, it said:
AMY WEST
NEEDS MEDICATION
So, since this is an autobiography of sorts, I have decided that it's an apt name. While admittedly, it isn't as colorful as my porn star name (Nana Chamounix), it is a lot better than "There's a Horse in My Shed" (Julie's autobiography)!
Enjoy.

very funny!
why is Julie's "there's a horse in my shed"?
I think your porn name would be Nana Pugh - that's the street we lived on when you were born! But Chamounix sure sounds better!
Nice!
(anyway the drugs don't work)
